Question - How much does the software cost?
Sage Accpac is a modular system that can be tailored exactly to your needs. Each module can be sold separately, enabling us to build a solution with only functionality that you require. Sage Accpac comes in 3 versions each with different modular pricing. Each of these differs in pricing and functionality. Core Modular Pricing for these 3 versions is between $800 and $3,000.
 
More important than the question of cost is the question of what is the expected return on investment for the new system? Selecting a higher quality product to begin with will give you added automation of repetitive tasks and allow you to do your current job in less time. This automation does not mean that you can send your employees home 2 hours early each day, but that you can start to get the economies of scale and higher volumes that make your business more profitable.

Question - Does Sage Accpac have a membership program to give me regular software updates?
Sage Accpac has software assurance that is included for the first year. Subsequent years are available at 18% of the RRP of the software. Software Assurance Membership for years 2 to 5 can be purchased at a discounted rate when purchased together with the initial order.

Question – What are the differences between the 3 Sage Accpac Versions?
The main difference in versions is the number of users that can simultaneously access the software. The software can be installed on as many computers as you like but may only be opened simultaneously by the number of user licences that you have purchased. Question – What information do I need to have ready to import into Sage Accpac?
If you have an existing accounting system then we would look to export your current data, modify it into a compatible format and then import it into Accpac. Normally at this time companies like to review the structure of their General Ledger and make some improvements before importing the data into Accpac. Data files that you may what to prepare may include:

  • Chart of General Ledger Accounts
  • Customer / Debtor List with outstanding balances
  • Supplier List with outstanding balances
  • Inventory list with all relevant details
  • Staff List with access levels for security setup
These files are normally prepared in separate excel spreadsheets and imported as a comma separated file into Sage Accpac. For this reason it is a good idea not to use commas in the text of these files. For information outlining the fields that we can import in please contact one of our Sage Accpac staff members.

Question – How long will Heritage IT Pty Ltd take to setup Sage Accpac for me?
Our staff traditionally take around 4-6 days to have the system ready for you to use. Following this we would provide between 3-6 days training and assistance depending upon the number of modules you need to be trained in. After the first day “go live” assistance your company would receive support as needed from our telephone helpdesk. Please note that while free telephone support is offered, it is only available to people who have been trained in the purchased modules.

Question – What is the easiest way to view a demo of Accpac?
As a first introduction to Accpac we like to send out a Demo CD which contains a short video introducing the software. Other useful information on the CD include testimonials from customers that are happy they chose to use Sage Accpac. Following the CD we would be happy to meet with you personally to demonstrate the power of Sage Accpac and the ease at which it will assist you to manage your business.
